The Pro-Ject X1 and X2 turntables
After a first half of the year 2019 already full of new products by Pro-Ject, the manufacturer continues its efforts for this new season 2019. A few weeks ago, Pro-Ject revealed new turntable models in its famous “X” series, the X1 and X2 turntable. So they replace the famous 1-Xpression and 2-Xperience record players.
At first sight, the X1 and X2 seem quite similar: electronic speed change, acrylic platter, adjustable aluminium/sorbothane stands, Connect It E phono cable… But looking closer, they are quite different, which justifies their price difference. The Pro-Ject X1 is equipped with an 8.6CC Evo tonearm with a Pick It S2 MM cartridge, while the Pro-Ject X2 is equipped with a Pro-Ject 9CC Evo tonearm with an MM Pick It 2M Silver cartridge.
In terms of restitution, these two Pro-Ject turntables are surprising for their dynamics, musicality and naturalness. These X1 and X2 succeed their famous elders with dignity!
The Pro-Ject The Classic Evo turntable
Another Pro-Ject turntable model: the Classic Evo, which is the evolution of The Classic model. Again, seen from the outside, these two record players do not look similar… And yet!
This Pro-Ject The Classic Evo has received many improvements: more massive sub-platter, new 9CC Evo tonearm, addition of an electronic speed change… And above all, The Classic Evo is now equipped with a moving coil cartridge, the high-performance Ortofon Quintet Red MC cartridge! The Audio Technica AT-LP5X turntable
The Audio Technica AT-LP5X turntable replaces the LP5 model. It takes up various elements of this one, with some improvements. The most notable improvement is that this turntable is now equipped with an integrated phono preamplifier, which is both MM and MC compatible. Thus giving more possibilities, although the MC input is still limited!

As a replacement for its Vinyl Cleaner S record cleaning machine, the Austrian manufacturer offers us new models. And not one, but two new cleaning machines: the VC-E and the VC-S2.
The Pro-Ject VC-E is an automatic cleaning machine, which has the particularity of being very compact, and therefore very cost-effective. Despite this and its very attractive price, this new VC-E remains very efficient!
